Through the creation of abstract drawings, inspired by the arrangement of industrial material and the construction of architecture, my work explores the patterned repetition of our built landscape. Influenced by our physical and emotional relationships with space, I create deconstructed compositions and images using line, form and color, with a focus on structure, process and material. Color creates movement and references our natural world, while structural forms connect to our built environment, creating harmony through contrary forces, order without boredom.

I build with line, constructing systems of form and pattern. The segmentation of these forms references our perception of the world around us, and its ultimate fragmentation. Amid lines and rectangles, form and color, new structures emerge -- as perception interrupts reality, an obstructed view is completed.
